We are back to the time of year when the winter storms do their damage. Creatures that should be swimming around in warm tropical waters suddenly get blown south and washed up on beaches around Perth. Sea turtles that end up so far south will not survive unless they receive tender care for months on end to nurse them back to health.

At Naragebup we have two new visitors. They checked in over the past week and we love them already! Stumpy is a tiny Loggerhead turtle with a damaged foot, hence his name, and Odyssius (shown above) is a larger green turtle. Our team of dedicated volunteers will be tending for them for many month to come and we hope they will thrive in our care. If all goes well, they will be released around Ningaloo Reef in a year or so.
